Here's How Contact Tracing Will Work on iPhones and Android Phones

Favourable Match Alerts

Your telephone will occasionally download beacons from individuals people who have tested positive for COVID-19. In case a beacon uploaded from the person that is ill matches a beacon you are going to get an alert. How Will Apple and Google Use This Data?

The programs do not record data;"random Bluetooth identifiers rotate every 10-20 minutes, to help prevent tracking," that the FAQ states.

Apple and Google may also not have access to identifying data, and"there will be limitations on the information that programs can accumulate if using the API, such as being unable to request access to place solutions, and limitations on how information may be utilized," the companies say. "There will not be a monetization from this job by Apple or Google."
